HVAC Distribution Platform ADH Acquires CTC Supply

HVAC distribution platform Advantage Distribution Holdings (ADH) acquired Fayetteville, NC-based CTC Supply.

Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Established in 2000, CTC is a distributor of HVAC equipment, parts andCTC Supply supplies for the residential single-family and multi-family markets. The company offers customers a range of brands, including Honeywell, DeWalt, Klein Tools and more. CTC operates in four locations throughout coastal North Carolina and is a member of the HVAC cooperative BLUE HAWK.

ADH was founded by Tigertail Capital Partners (TCP) to build a tech-driven HVAC distribution platform. Based in Miami, TCP is an investment firm that targets U.S.-based, founder-owned companies in highly fragmented industries.

“The Suttons are a longstanding pillar of their community, and we are honored to be partnering with them,” TCP Co-Founders Andrew Och, Alex Gatof, and Zach Katz said in a March 31 news release. “We look forward to joining forces with Keith, Cole and their best-in-class team as we build upon CTC’s track record of reliability and service.”

Clay Holder will join ADH as CEO, bringing extensive HVAC distribution experience from his role as President of VAD HVAC Distributors and leadership positions at Johnson Controls, where he managed 50 branch locations across the U.S. Additionally, Michael Tully and Jeremy Goldstein of D1 Capital Partners LP, along with Todd Buehl of H7 Capital Management, have been appointed to ADH’s Board of Directors.
