Foodservice, packaging supplies, industrial products and janitorial supplies distributor Imperial Dade acquired S. Freedman & Sons, Inc.
Terms were not disclosed, but the transaction marks Imperial Dade’s 96th acquisition under the leadership of Robert and Jason Tillis.
Landover, MD-based S. Freedman & Sons is a distributor of cleaning supplies, paper products, packaging supplies and printed materials. Established in 1907, the company serves customers in numerous states across the Mid-Atlantic.
“I am honored that Jeff, Dan and the entire S. Freedman & Sons team are now valued partners of Imperial Dade,” Imperial Dade Chairman Robert Tillis said in a Jan. 14 news release. “SFS offers high quality products and service which aligns well with our customer-first approach.”

Imperial Dade made 19 acquisitions during 2024. The company’s most recent previous deal was for Wisconsin-based San-A-Care, completed in November.
Imperial Dade was No. 2 on MDM’s Top Distributors List for JanSan, Packaging & Disposables.
