Electronics distributor Avnet appointed Dave Youngblood to the newly-created role of Chief Digital Officer (CDO), effective Oct. 21.
Youngblood will report to Avnet’s CEO Phil Gallagher.
With over 25 years of experience in the electronics industry, Youngblood has led teams dedicated to digital experiences and demand generation.
“His leadership will help us make it even easier to do business with Avnet digitally, ensure we’re delivering actionable data and, ultimately, enable our customers to move faster at scale,” Gallagher said in an Oct. 17 news release.
Most recently, he served as Head of Digital Customer Experience at Analog Devices and has held key roles at Murata and Texas Instruments.
Avnet will report its 2025 fiscal first quarter results on Oct. 30.
The company was No. 2 on MDM’s Top Distributor’s List for Electronics.
