Electrical wire and cable manufacturer Southwire opened its Dallas Fort Worth (DFW) Customer Service Center (CSC) on Aug. 22.

The facility is nearly 1.2 million square feet and distributes products for Southwire solutions, including business segments — Commercial, Residential, Utility, Industrial and Electrical Products & Engineered Solution (EP&ES).

“This facility is a true reflection of our ongoing modernization efforts and our relentless commitment to providing the very best customer experience,” Southwire President and CEO Rich Stinson said in an Aug. 23 news release. “We’re investing more than $1.5 billion across our Southwire footprint, integrating newer and better equipment, systems and technology into our operations to increase efficiency, enhance competitiveness and ensure the capability and capacity to support our strategic growth.”

The Southwire DFW CSC is anticipated to employ approximately 250 team members while offering modernized storage solutions and automated material handling.

“This modern, automated facility in the center of the U.S. will provide world-class fill rates and on-time in-full deliveries for our customers, taking our customer service to a new level and ensuring that Southwire remains both an incredible supplier to our customers and an unbelievable place to work,” Southwire President and COO Norman Adkins said.
